Re-letting rents of advertised apartments" (asking rents)rn Algorithm: Average asking rent per m² classified in steps below 4 €, 4 to below 5 €, further in 1-€ steps up to 18 € and morern Description: The evaluated asking rents are based on advertisements from real estate platforms and newspapers for relet apartments. They reflect the range of offers that apartment hunters encounter when they search for a rental apartment on the Internet. For standard processing down to the district level, the apartments considered were narrowed down to living spaces of 40 to 100 m² with average apartment furnishings in average to good residential locations. The data used comprise net cold asking rents, i.e. excluding cold and warm service charges. The source used is the IDN ImmoDaten GmbH databases with advertisements from more than 120 real estate portals and newspapers, which the BBSR processes and uses to calculate average asking rents. This source does not capture all apartment listings. Advertisements from local newspapers, tenant or business publications, or from notice boards cannot be included. Apartment referrals via customer and waiting lists from housing companies or brokers cannot be taken into account either. Therefore, apartments in the affordable rental segment in particular may be underrepresented with this data source. Rents from existing tenancies can also not be represented with this data basis. Due to the new and improved preparation procedure, the "old" rental data would have to be completely replaced by the present time series.n1: below € 4 per m²n2: 4 to under 5 € per m²n...n15: 17 to under 18 € per m²n16: 18 € and more per m²n
