Purpose

Die Gesellschaft verfolgt ausschließlich und unmittelbar gemeinnützige Zwecke im Sinne des Abschnitts "Steuerbegünstigte Zwecke" der Abgabenordnung. Zweck der Gesellschaft ist die Förderung der Entwicklungshilfe und der Entwicklungshilfezusammenarbeit mit Ländern der Dritten Welt. Der Zweck wird insbesondere durch die Versorgung von ärmeren Bevölkerungsschichten mit Elektrizität aus erneuerbaren Energien in den in § 6 des Entwicklungsländersteuergesetzes genannten Ländern sowie in vergleichbaren Staaten und Gebieten einschließlich der Finanzierung entsprechender Projekte ggfs. in Kooperation mit anderen Trägern der Entwicklungshilfe, erreicht. Die Gesellschaft unterstützt dabei die Planung und Durchführung der entsprechenden Projekte durch Zurverfügungstellung von Kenntnissen, die Zurverfügungstellung von technischen Einrichtungen (z.B. Solarkleinstanlagen) und/oder finanziellen Zuschüssen (auch in der Form von Darlehen) an Organisationen, Unternehmen, die Anlagen zur Erzeugung erneuerbarer Energie errichten oder betreiben, sowie auf andere sinnvolle Weise. Ferner soll in der Öffentlichkeit Interesse und Verständnis für die 17 Ziele der nachhaltigen Entwicklung (SDGs) der Vereinten Nationen geweckt und gefördert werden.
