The dataset "Kraftfahrzeugbestand" provides a comprehensive overview of the vehicle stock and charging infrastructure in Germany. It includes key figures on publicly accessible charging points per 100 battery electric vehicles as well as publicly accessible charging points for electric vehicles per 100,000 inhabitants. Additionally, the shares of the main types of propulsion in the stock of passenger cars are shown in percent, including gasoline, diesel, battery electric vehicles, gas vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Furthermore, the number of passenger cars per 1,000 inhabitants is provided. The data is regionally differentiated and available at the level of districts and postal code areas. This supports regional comparisons, the assessment of charging infrastructure supply, and the monitoring of structural changes in the vehicle stock towards alternative drives.
