Last updated at 3/10/2026
The dataset "Arbeitslosenstruktur" describes the composition of registered unemployed individuals by age, gender, nationality, qualification level, and duration of unemployment. It depicts percentage shares within the group of unemployed, including the share of those under 25 years, the share of those 55 years and older, the distribution of unemployed women and men, as well as the share of foreign unemployed individuals. For nationality, gender-specific shares are also provided, such as the share of foreign male unemployed among male unemployed and the share of foreign female unemployed among female unemployed. Gender-specific age indicators show the share of male and female unemployed under 25 years and 55 years and older, each relative to the corresponding unemployed populations. Additionally, the dataset contains indicators for long-term unemployment of one year or more for all unemployed, as well as separately for men and women. Besides these internal shares, prevalence rates in the population are also provided, such as the share of unemployed under 25 years among residents aged 15 to under 25 years, and corresponding values for men, women, and the age group 55 to under 65 years. An additional indicator captures the share of unemployed with the qualification level "Expert" among all unemployed. All indicators are given in percentages and are available at the spatial levels of municipality and postal code area, supporting regional comparisons, monitoring, and targeted labor market policy planning.
