The dataset Social Care compiles key figures on nursing and childcare, enabling a detailed analysis of regional care structures. It includes, among other things, the percentage of those in need of care receiving outpatient care and those in permanent residential care, the percentage of recipients of care allowance, the number of those in need of care per 100 inhabitants, and the availability of nursing home places per 10,000 inhabitants. For assessing staffing levels, the dataset contains the ratio of staff in outpatient nursing services per 100 outpatient care recipients and staff in nursing homes per 100 fully residential care recipients. In the area of early childhood education and care, the percentage of children under three years in daycare centers and the percentage of children from three to under six years in daycare centers are available, each related to the corresponding age group. Additionally, full-day care is indicated by the percentage of children under three years and children from three to under six years with a daily care time of seven or more hours. Other indicators include the percentage of integrative daycare centers among all daycare centers, the percentage of children with foreign backgrounds in daycare centers, and the ratio of places in daycare centers per educational staff member. The data is available at a small-scale level, at district and postal code levels, and is suitable for needs analyses, monitoring and benchmarking of care and childcare, for planning services, evaluating staffing levels, and comparing regional differences in social care.
